The information contained in the 1886-1997 probate files was provided through the generosity of
the Acadia Parish Clerk of Court and Richard Arnaud. The data was converted and submitted to
the archives by A. P. "Red" Quebodeaux.
Acadia Parish probate court records are maintained by the Acadia Parish Clerk of Court, P.O.
Box 922, Crowley, LA 70527-0922. Phone (337) 788-8881. When I last inquired, they were
charging $1.00 per page for reproduction.
GET INVOLVED!
We are looking for any historical documents, articles, photos, etc. Everyone is urged to donate
transcriptions of Acadia Parish bible records, cemeteries, court records, old newspaper
articles, biographies of residents, old letters, census data, obituaries, family histories,
parish histories, military records, old photographs, etc.
The USGenWeb has provided an easy to use form for submitting a COURT RECORD to the Louisiana
GenWeb. It will be forwarded to me for the Acadia Archives. You can still submit a free
form text document if you choose not to use the form provided.
