In the 1900 US Census for Ramsey County Edward P.(? this is hard
to read on the actual film but the Soundex card says P.) LARKIN age 42, his
wife Catherine M. (oran) age 33 and children Florence 9, John 8, Marie 5
and Catherine 2 are listed as living at 342 8th Street, St. Paul, MN. His
occupation is given as cook and hers as boarding house keeper. His place
of birth is given as IL and hers as NJ and all of their parents are from
Ireland. Other sources have given his place of birth as MA and hers as Ireland.
This is the only place I have found the P. in his name as the oldest daughter
gives his name as John Edward on her SS9 and the other two as Edward.
I am looking for information on this family. I have a marriage record in Cook County IL for Edward LARKIN and Katie MORAN of St. Paul, MN on 31 October 1889 which I believe is this couple. I'm not sure if any of the Edward's listed in the 1889-90 city directory information is my Edward. I have not found them in the 1910 census, but without an index it is slow going. I am looking for information on this family. I know the son John died young but do not know when. I know that Edward died sometime between 1900 and 1910 and Catherine Moran Larkin married Rudolf KRENKE but I do not know when. I know Catherine died in 1922 in Kansas City, MO at her daughter's house.

I have just discovered that my g grandmother remarried after her
first husband's death. Theis would have been between 1900 and 1910, I think.
My aunt remembers his first name as "Rudy" and the burial records of Katherine
Moran Larkin KRENKE in 1922 show his last name to be KRENKE. The family was
living in St. Paul then.
Anyone know of this man or this name? Thanks. Jeanne

I am searching for the family of Mr. & Mrs. D. Diesang, of St.
Paul. Mrs. Diesang, and possibly Mr. Diesang, would have emigreated to the
United States from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, possibly in the period 1860-1870.
Mrs. Diesang came to Waterloo with her parents (or may have been born in
Waterloo) from Canton Aargau, Switzerland, in 1855. Her parents (My gg
grandparents) were named Joseph Fischer and Zecilia (or Cecilia)
Metzcher. They were Roman Catholic. I know for certain that they were
living in St. Paul in 1896, because they are named in Joseph Fischer's obituary
announcement in a March 4, 1896 Waterloo, Ontario newspaper.

I am looking for Joseph Rangitsch and his wife Elizabeth
Clemmons. They lived in St. Paul when their oldest son, Bernard Joseph
was born. Bernard Joseph (b 27 aug 1870) was my husband's grandfather. I
found from Elizabeth Hennebry, oldest daughter of Bernard, that he
worked for the railroad and two of the daughters died of the flu epidemic.
The family came from Hungary and I have been told that the name was simplified.
Any information that you could find would be greatly appreciated. There are
still some of the Rangitsch family in St. Paul. I am afraid that they did
not do a very good job keeping track of their family. My husband has many
cousins he has never meet. Thank you for your time and your willingness to
help us in this endeavor. Linda Rangitsch

I have are 3 photographs of this person. The first one (photo1) was made
by the photographer GOLLING - ST PAUL 93E. 7th ST.
The second one (photo2) was mailed in ABERDENN-SOUTH DAKOTA in 1900 or 1910,

William Sr. was a wagon driver on the trail between Omaha and Denver in the
1870's and 1880's, so he might have been a teamster when they were in St.
Paul also. They appear to have been in St. Paul from about 1856 until 1861
or 62. The family were devout Catholic, the children all involved with major
financial support of the Church in Nebraska, so I'm sure those who were born
in MN were baptized there. If this family looks familiar to you or you have
suggestions on MN resources which might help me find them, I'd sure like
to hear from you. Thanks, Jo Newkirk-Hornecker

Looking for information about Emil Schwarz (Schwartz)
Emil Schwarz was my grandfather. According to my fathers birth records Emil
was born in Germany in the year 1867. His occupation was listed as a taylor.
Emil married my grandmother, Pearl Mary Emerson around 1912 or 1913, I think
in St. Paul. My father Rodger Edward Schwartz (spelling was changed) was
born 31 July 1914 in St Paul. I have no more information on Emil then that.
He disappeared. Pearl remarried just before she died on 9 Dec. 1922. His
name was Edward Haun. The court placed my father in the care of his
grandmother Mary Belle Colton. When she died in 1924, my father was
placed in the care of his aunt, Olive Emerson.
What I would like to know is what happened to Emil? If he really was married to Pearl Emerson, there must be some record of it. Also in order for Pearl to remarry, there must be either a death record or a divorce record.
Can you help me? I have been looking for my grandfather for years and have come up with nothing.
Thank you for your time

from me Great Grandmother by 1900 because I found her listed as head of house

he was living here. I believe she was married in St. Paul and I know she

WELLS/BRIMHALL
I've search for descendants of Nettie Elmira WELLS who married Walter Everett
BRIMHALL on 21 Sept 1881 in St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota. Walter BRIMHALL
was born in St. Paul on 12 Dec 1860. I am a descendant of Nettie's brother
William Miles Wells. Their father Miles Wells was a victim of Amercia's worst
marine disaster, the Sultana. This steamship was bringing home Union soldiers
who had been held captive at Cahaba and Andersonville prison camps when it
exploded on 27 April 1865 killing between 1500-1900 soldiers. I do not believe
this story was passed down through the generations as I have experienced
through William Miles Wells' family.
Nettie and Walter Brimhall had 3 children that we are aware of:
Mary Edith Brimhall b 11 Nov 1883 in St. Paul
Reuben Walter Brimhall b 8 Nov 1889 in Minneapolis
Dorothy Alice Brimhall b 28 May 1896 in St. Paul
We do not, at this time, have any marriage or death information on any of
the Brimhall individuals.
I look forward to hearing from any researchers on the WELLS/BRIMHALL surnames.
Nettie is listed as widowed in the 1920 Kansas City Census and was living
in Kansas City at the time of her brother's death in Jan 1919.
Thank you.

They had 3 children, William (Billy), Virginia (Dolly), & Roslyn (Trudy-Tudy)

of (sisters?), Roy & Ben, they moved to the Rio Linda & Sacramento
area of California from ? and lived the greater part of their lives and died
in California. One of their wives names was Belle.
William Sr. my grandfather died young in 1923-24, from a W.W.I. injury, worked
at Griggs Cooper & Co. in the St. Paul area prior to his death. Catherine

children together. Catherine died in St. Paul, 1945-46. Was of Catholic faith.
Please write if you have information regarding this part of my family. I

Subject: Stanley Argot LaPree, DOB: 02/25/98 Richmond Virginia - Died: Nevis,
Minnesota 12/10/78
My grandfather was Stanley A. LaPree died in Nevis, MN in 1978. He married
my grandmother, Mabel G. LaPree October 24, 1930 in Ramsey County/ St. Paul,
Minnesota. At that time he was a Ramsey County deputy sheriff. I have tried
to verify this but there are no records going back that far. My father last
saw his father at age 3, so there is little family history available. Out
of respect for his mother, who never remarried, we didn't begin our search
until her passing. Sadly, Stanley too had passed away. I am looking for any
information regarding Stanley and/or family members. >From information
found, it is believed that he moved to Ramsey County while still an infant.
Was he married before or after Mabel G. LaPree, was he a deputy sheriff in
Ramsey County in the 30's? Are his parents and/or family buried in the area
(Emil and Henrietta) ? Thank you for your time and assistance.

I have no clue about who he is and need help. I have his Honorable Discharge
from the Civil War Era. He was discharged in 1865 at Fort Snelling.
The Discharge is an official orginial written in 1901.That it is a later
copy has not escaped my notice. But it makes me believe it was important
in 1901 for someone to get a copy. It was among my grandparents things. It
is framed and has been in the frame forever. I assume it to be a relative
of one or the other grandparent.
Please does any one know of this man. Thanks

Donna, who committed suicide by jumping off of a bride, somewhere in the

Ella, Robert, Joan and Daryl. Daryl died sometime during the 1960's. Thank
