Arcelia Ma del Consuelo Villalobos Trujillo Nov. 15, 1914 — April 4, 2004 Funeral services were observed April 7 for longtime Tracy resident and retired teacher Consuelo Villalobos, 89, who died April 4 at her home. A native of Col. Venustiano Carranza, Mexico, Señora Villalobos taught dance, acting and manual arts to students in kindergarten through sixth grade before coming to the United States in 1963. She lived in Tracy 41 years, donating time in Mrs. Artacho’s classroom at Central School for some years. She enjoyed knitting, singing, dancing, writing sentiments in her books and teaching her friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed visiting friends, and loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by children Rosa Spruitenburg, Alma Villanueva, Julio, Sergio, Manuel and Luis Villalobos and Carmen Villalobos; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julio Villalobos; her parents, Gregorio and Enedina Trujillo, and her brother, Adalberto Trujillo Zamora. Visitation and rosary recital were held Tuesday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial was observed April 7 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. A rosary is being recited daily at 7 p.m. in her home, 1410 Coolidge Ave., until Friday. Friends and family are invited to gather in prayer.
