He was born on June 10, 1922, in Stockton. Mr. Troglia served in the United States Navy during WWII as a Gunners Mate 3rd Class, aboard the U.S.S. Parrott. He served in both theatres. He was employed as an Operating Engineer for 30 years and most recently he retired from Granite Construction Company. He was a member of the local VFW and Moose Lodge, the Manteca Bike Club, Manteca Raquet Ball Club, Sons of Italian Club and the Local Operation Engineers Union. He was a very active person and enjoyed snow skiing, bicycling (he once rode from Manteca to Yosemite Park), and also climbed Mt. Whitney. He especially enjoyed gardening and dancing. He will be deeply missed by his children, Connie A. Smith and her husband, Bill, of Herald, Rory A. Troglia, of LA and the love of his life, Maggie Olvera, of Manteca and her children, Ed Olvera and Kathy Siebler and their children, six grandchildren and nine great-grand-children. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, Spetember 2, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at Lodi Memorial Cemetery, 5750 E. Pine St., Lodi.
