Boyd F. Hicks 
Dec. 8, 1912 - August 21, 2004



Boyd F. Hicks, 91, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2004 in Stockton. He was 
born December 8, 1912 in Newton County, Arkansas and has lived in Stockton for 
66 years. Mr. Hicks was a shoe cobbler for approximately 70 years, who had his 
own shoe repair shop in Stockton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, 
amateur photography, traveling and sightseeing.
Survivors: wife, Jewell C. Hicks of Stockton; children, Dolen E. Hicks, Glen H. 
Hicks I, Sue E. Walters, all of Stockton and Paul H. Hicks of Crescent City and 
step-children, Carrol Robertson of French Camp and George W. Freeman III of 
Colorado. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna, 3 sisters and 1 
brother.
Services: Thursday, August 26, 2004, 11:00 a.m., Carson Oaks Community Church, 
6605 N. Alturas Ave., Stockton. Visitation: Wednesday, August 25 from 10:00 
a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wallace-Martin Funeral Home, 520 N. Sutter St., Stockton. 
Committal at Parkview Cemetery.
