William Duane Balogh

William Duane Balogh passed away at home in Winters with his family on April 13,
2004.  Born on July 14, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois, he was 90 years old.  A
resident of Winters for 10 years and a former resident of Riverside and Clear
Lake, Mr. Balogh graduated from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks,
North Dakota and was a county recorder in Riverside County for 25 years before
retiring in 1978.  He enjoyed traveling with his wife.

He is survived by his daughter, Desta Stoner of Santa Rosa; sons and
daughters-in-law Gary and Janice Balogh of Eugene, Oregon, Duane and Pam Balogh
of Winters, Tracy and Sandy Balogh of Wallace, and Brad and Vana Balogh of
Winters; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Elaine Katherine, and a
grandson, Kevin Duane Balogh.

Memorial services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Winters on
Saturday, April 17, at 4 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be
made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
