My wife, Eunice Johnston of Blackwell & Ponca City, researched her family & among her mother's papers were the Jamison & Weimer Photos. Eunice's mother was Bertha Clifton, she married Eunice's father, Walter Johnston who had the feed business in Blackwell & Ponca City most of his life. With these old photos was a hand written note explaining the Jamisons. They no doubt lived near Ponca City, as Eunice said, "they came into her father's feed store regularly and had a very, nice farm outside of town." Another interesting item, Walter Johnston, my wife's father, had a younger sister, Nedra who married Talmadge Kiser and had three children. The boys left their bikes out at the lake and Talmadge was driving them out there to get them, and had a collision with Ora & Charles Jamison. Talmadge was killed and the Jamisons badly Injured. Being in Kay County, the local newspaper should be a tremendous help. Being in Calif. has not helped me in my research. I placed the photos on the web in hopes someone would have an interest, but no luck. Talmadge's son still in Tulsa as well as Nedra. Nedra is not computer savy. T.G. Kiser's email address is tgkiserja@att.net I have a tremendous amount of family history for the area, as Eunice's grandfather was on the Rush and Homesteaded out side of Blackwell. If I can be of any help, please ask. If you have any info on any of these photos or the people in them please contact: Bill Conner |
