Penrod Cemetery Project is a complete survey by

DIRECTIONS TO THE CEMETERY: From Laughlintown take Rt 1023 north to Kessel Springs Road. Follow that road to the cemetery.

Taken from the Westmoreland County Historical Society Cemetery Index: "Abraham Penrod came to the Ligonier Valley in the early 1800's and settled between Laughlintown and Waterford. When his son James died in the winter of 1846 he was buried on the farm where a small family graveyard was developed. At a later time a number of headstones were stolen from the cemetery, all but one of which was later returned (probably due to the outrage of the local citizens)."
