The USGenWeb Archives is embarking on the USGenWeb Archives Pension Project. This project will endeavor to provide actual transcriptions of Pension related materials for all Wars prior to 1900. Transcripts, extracts and abstracts will be accepted and files will be placed in the USGenWeb Archives directory of the State and County of principal residence of the Pensioner.

 To use these files, the one named "file" takes you to the .txt file that was originally submitted to this site.  What I have done is expand it, making each county individual.  It has the same information, listing the soldiers we need pension records for.  At the moment, it has a listing of all the pensioned soldiers.  It is my intention to expand this even further, but I need you help.  If you have a pension for any of these soldiers, please submit it to me.  Then it will go onto the site.  Also,  coming soon,  I will be including much more information about our Civil War soldiers and their lives and battles.  This area of the site is still under construction
