The Last Will and Testament of John Hodge. He was born in 1775 and died 1854. The Will was filed 7 June 1854. He was either born in Sumter District, SC or Edgecombe County, NC and came to SC as a young child. He married Frances Davis, daughter of William Davis and Elizabeth Fort, before 1800. They had four living children at the time of his will. He also had seven sons with Mary Wise of Sumter District, SC. These sons were provided for in Deeds of Gift. |

Second wife was Jane Elizabeth Hodge, b. March 5, 1803, d. March 25, 1885. She is the wife named in this will. |
