Seymour Mercantile Undertaking Records

Wilton Baker Flewharty purchased the old Seymour Mercantile building, which was a general store which sold everything from tractor parts to coffins. The Seymour Mercantile did embalming and burials along with selling hardware. Mr. Flewharty kept the burial records after the store closed. He copied the records that were legible and gave those transcriptions to the Seymour Public Library. After Mr. Flewharty's death in 1996, the originl records were given to the Seymour Public Library. The following transcriptions are from the original records found in the Seymour Public Library.
