Rebecca "Becky" Born 1836 in Arkansas. Died 1854 in Texas, age 18. Rebecca Patsy Chambers, d/o James & Elsie (Miller) Chambers. Rebecca was the first person buried in Smithwick Cemetary. Was reported to have been ill while traveling with the family of her Sister & Brother-in-law, Nancy (Chambers) & Evan G. Evans. She asked to be buried on the flower covered hillside that is now Smithwick Cemetary. |
