Saint Michaels Catholic Cemetery
Burlington, Texas
This cemetery is located in the northwest quadrant of Milam Co. To get to this active cemetery from
Cameron, take U.S. Hwy 77 north and drive about 10-miles to CR 133-B and turn right and continue a short
distance. There are three cemeteries at this location. The first entrance on the right side of the road
is the Burlington Cemetery. The second gate is for the St. Michael’s section. The third is the Hispanic
Cemetery, which is located in the back of St. Michael's.
The Burlington Community was first called Irish Settlement and the Catholics built a church in the 1880s.
Burlington became the permanent name in 1889 and was named after Burlington, VT.
