Head of Elm Cemetery ![]()
Cemetery is located FM 677 north of Saint Jo
Head of Elm is the oldest cemetery in Saint Jo, Texas.
Final resting place for numerous early pioneers.
Many of the earlier headstones no longer exist.
Early area settlers: Aaron Anderson, James Box, James Harris,
Enogh Willett and his daughter Mary were killed in
Indian raids and tradition says they are buried here.
