Company "A" 2nd TX Partisan Rangers

This is possibly the first actual battle in the war that Co. 'A' from Cooks County was involved.
Obviously they won the battle. They had no food except 3 ears of corn, no way to grind the corn,
and cattle that they had driven from Texas. They did not have enough ammunition so they collected
what the Yankees used to shot at them then fired it back at the Yankees. They were tough, brave men
that fought and died for what they believed in.
