The cemetery is located seven miles west of Hamlin on Hwy 92 on the left. The community of Afton reached its height in 1892. There was a school, church building, post office and the cemetery. The post office closed in 1893 and the school was consolidated with Hitson. Fisher County history shows that the community was gone by 1965 except for the cemetery. |
